I personally don't believe that any pope has more ability to go before God than any other Christian, but as my maternal grandparents are very Catholic (and both 100% german, no less), and moreover, as the Roman Catholic chuch still retains an incredible say in many cultural-spiritual matters (abortion, homosexuality, etc.), I'm relieved that they are so solid as to elect a pope so quickly.
Can we call him Pope Benny?
